Optical Coherence Tomography or OCT has a broad range of applications in today's eye care practices. OCT technology generates high-resolution, cross-sectional and three-dimensional (3D) images of the retina, optic disc and anterior segment, to give our doctors valuable information that aids in the diagnosis and management of a range of ocular diseases including macular degeneration, glaucoma and fuch’s dystrophy.

Infant See: Cooing, sitting up and crawling are signs that your baby is growing. Your baby’s vision goes through important stages too. Did you know eye problems can occur without noticeable symptoms? An eye and vision assessment is an important step in making sure your baby is learning to see properly. The InfantSee program provides a one-time, no cost eye and vision assessment for babies’ 6-12 mo old. Our doctors will educate the family their baby’s initial evaluation and recommend when further follow up is needed. One in ten infants have been found to have a visual or medical condition that needs close follow-up.

Macula Risk NXG combines the power of genetic analysis with non-genetic risk factors to provide the highest predictive performance possible in an Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) test. Through a simple cheek swab, Macula Risk NXG will accurately identify early/immediate AMD patients at risk for progression to advanced (wet or dry) disease. Coupled with heightened professional care, patients at risk can be monitored and treated before there is significant visual loss resulting in an improved clinical outcome. Our collective mandate is to save vision in the first eye. Learn more…

Macula Pigment Optical Density Testing or (MPOD): Our doctors strongly recommend the QuantifEye macular density measurement be performed at least once in our office to determine the density of the pigment in our macula. These pigments protect your visual cells and their density can be increased in most people. Higher levels of macular pigment have be shown to protect the retina against conditions such as macular degeneration. Macular degeneration is the leading cause of permanent vision loss in adults, currently affecting 15million people. Our doctors will review with you your personal MPOD score and make recommendations based on your family history, over health and visual demands on the best options for maintaining your best visual potential.

Digital Retinal Photography is an improved technology in which our doctors can take high-resolution digital photographs of the interior portion of your eye called the retina. These photographs aid our doctors’ ability to accurately diagnose and document many diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetes. It also provides a base line for comparison for future visits, which aids in the monitoring of disease progression and response to therapy.
